Pitch-perfect quiptic, Coot. Excellent stuff! Took me (an average solver) 12mins. Perfect calming moment after watching the 🦁! LOI 16d, for which the WP clicked with a nice PDM. Thought the standard throughout was superb but to select some favourites, I particularly loved 1a for the strange, yet amusing surface, 22a, 26a, 2d, 4d and 18d. Cheers!

Thanks Coot for a stellar crossword. I always enjoy clues that read so effortlessly. My top picks were 1a, 3a, 13a, 22a, 4d, and 15d but there wasn't a dud in the bunch.

After a longish absence due to moving house (TV rights for the full story still available), how lovely to get back into training with a cracking Coot offering. After a reasonably straightforward and fun jog through 3/4 of the puzzle, the SW corner proved a little more chewy but beautifully done. No faves, but a 5 star rating overall. Thanks Coot!
