Everyone should feel welcome here, whether they're setting their first crossword or their five hundredth.
- Post anything aggressive, insulting or inflammatory
- Express hatred or intolerance towards anyone
- Use offensive language
- Share other people's personal information, such as their address, phone number or email address
- Post anything that invades someone's privacy
Feedback helps setters improve, and it's one of the best things about the community. Setters share work they've spent a lot of time on, so keep that in mind when you comment.
- Point out errors, clues you found unfair, and things you enjoyed
- Question someone's opinion or expertise, as long as it's relevant and not threatening
- Keep criticism positive and polite
- Repeatedly send messages or requests to other people
Before you publish a crossword, check that its clues:
- Are logically sound
- Have had their spelling and grammar checked
- Follow the rules on this page
These rules apply everywhere on the site, including profiles, crosswords, clues and comments. Moderators apply them with context and intent in mind.
Content that breaks the rules will be removed. If someone keeps ignoring them, their account may be suspended or, in serious cases, permanently banned.
