Excellent puzzle, Polymath. One of your very best, I'd say. Super surfaces, some really cute constructions very nicely disguised, lots of fun. Many congrats. Frankly, too many faves to list. Trying to keep it short, 1a, 9a, 14a, 25a, 26a, 2d, 3d (COTD) 6d, 12d, 22d. Thanks. PM.

Thank you - I enjoyed this too. Not too difficult but south west corner held me up a bit. Some lovely clues, with 3d and 12d particularly standing out for me; and some neat surfaces. (If I've understood 3d correctly, the reference is pretty obscure, even allowing for the question mark!)

So fun, thanks Polymath. My one reveal was 17a, an answer which, based on some quick googling, suggests a larger theme at play in this puzzle. Plenty of fun to be had regardless, and I really enjoyed your playful yet accurate clueing approach throughout the puzzle, including though not limited to 1a, 2d, 4d, 6d, 12d, 26a. Thanks again.

Finally caught up with you! Thanks for a stellar display of wit and craft, really good fun. I particularly liked 1a, 13a, 14a, 4d, 12d, 19d, & 21d. Maybe some déjà vu in 5a but not worth mentioning 😊
