Very good - tough in places but enough accessible clues to get a toehold, then steady away until the last handful of holdouts, but I got there in the end. Favourites: 21a, 22a, 7d 31d, 23d. More in reply ->

Thanks Fez for an excellent crossword. I had many favourites -- 10a, 12a, 14a, 16a, 19a, 33a (COTD), 3d, 13d, 28d, and 34d. I revealed 22a (?) and 15d. Great work.

Magnificent. And surprisingly gentle for you: I kept waiting for the belt round the chops that never came. You had me at Rocky III – 15d’s glorious. So too 10a, 12a, 33a, 36a, 3d, 7d, 26d, 28d, and 30d. 17d’s sign-off is lovely and all. It’s such a long list, in fact, I’m actually embarrassed. And such a clever theme to boot. Just ridiculous. Stop it now! Not really spoilers …

Fezziness galore with bits and pieces popping in and out of the fodder all over the place. A few beat me in the end - 10a, 15a and 28d. Loads I could tick as favourites which makes the whole concept of favourite rather meaningless! 11a, 12a, 16a, 24a, 33a, 2d, 6d, 15d, 20d and 30d. Thanks. PM

Lovely stuff Fez. Plenty of excellent clues, my favourites were 11a, 15a (though it was one I revealed), 33a, 35a, 6d, 7d 31d, 20d, 30d and 32d. I also had to reveal 24a, 25a, 17d and 34d. More in reply...

Great stuff Fez, thanks. I found it mostly relatively gentle but then, unlike ALP, came across some chewy parts and was ultimately defeated by 22a, 23d and 28d. Lots to like, in particular: 11a, 16a (COTD), 27a, 33a, 36a, 2d, 7d 31d, 15d (equal COTD!), 20d and 26d. Spoilers …

Lovely stuff Fez, that was satisfyingly Fezzy and fun! My experience echos many of the previous comments, particular where I was bested and in a long list of likes: 11a (neat), 14a (smooth), 16a (lovely), 22a (cute, though needed a reveal during the solve), 25a (inventive), 27a (neat), 33a (delightfully smooth), 2d (clean), 5d (neat), 6d (neat), 15d (excellent), 23d (cute, but similarly tricky - CDs are often my bane), 26d (fun and neat), 30d (neat) and 34d (very neat)

Cheers, Fez. Very enjoyable, although I needed a few reveals and your notes to parse a few more. 24a, 27a and 18d (nho) were beyond me, but all fair. Favourites 10a (COTD, needed a reveal!), 7d 31d, 26d, 23d (another reveal - I'm rubbish at CDs), 30d and 12a and 33a (like the clever removals), 15d, 34d (neat). Thanks again!

Thanks Fez. Some wonderful clues to titillate the brain cells including 9a, 14a, 16a, 25a, 2d, 7d/31d, 8d, 26d, 30d, 32d, 34d. I got on quite well on the first pass, but then struggled for a good while and progress was slow thereafter. In the end I had to reveal 7 clues (although 2 I guessed but needed your notes. Spoilers...
