Introducing Featured Crosswords

We’re very pleased to launch Featured Crosswords, a new fortnightly series on MyCrossword showcasing edited 15×15 puzzles from Star Setters.

About the series

Every fortnight our editorial team (Fez, Editor, and Blah, Deputy Editor) will select one submitted puzzle to be edited and featured on the site. The chosen puzzle will be pinned to the home page for one week so it’s easy to find.

Eligibility

Featured Crosswords are invited from our Star Setters. Don’t worry if you’re not a Star Setter yet, because you can still become one and the list is reviewed regularly. Read more about it in Star Setter Criteria.

How to submit

Please submit your 15×15 crossword directly inside the site. When editing a crossword, just click on the actions menu and select Submit crossword to editor.

Important: Please submit through the platform only. Email submissions will not be accepted.

Before submitting your puzzle, we recommend reading the Guidance for Featured Setters.

When you submit a puzzle the whole editorial workflow happens inside MyCrossword: reviews, edits, status changes and scheduling are all handled within the platform.

Editorial process

Our editorial process is managed entirely within MyCrossword. When a puzzle or clue status changes you will receive an automated email confirming the update, and you will receive a confirmation email with the publication date once the puzzle is scheduled.

This means you can follow the progress of your submission without needing to chase by email.

External coverage

Each Featured Crossword will also appear on FifteenSquared, alongside other well-known puzzles such as the Guardian, Independent and Financial Times, giving extra visibility for you and your work.
