Cryptic crossword No 1,665

This was pleasant, thank you. I liked the double and cryptic definitions especially : a really good sense of play there.

Thanks Iguess, that was a mostly pleasant solve with a good range of challenge in the clues. I particularly enjoyed 1a (COTD), 10a, 24a, 25a, 6d, 19d among other. A few I found somewhat contrived, but that might be just me. Spoilers in reply....
