Cryptic crossword No 1,423

Really enjoyable Angel. I spotted the theme a little early, so a relatively quick solve for me - but I’d also but that down to the quality of cluing. Lots of smashing clues, particularly 15d, 25d and 22d (COTD). Bravo!

Lovely stuff, Angel, thanks. The theme meant nothing to me but it didn't get in the way of a relatively brisk solve. I'll nominate 11a, 12a and 7d for my podium.

Enjoyed this - also finished. Liked 25d especially, also 29d and 22a. Won't tell you the extraordinary route I took for 27d but it involves a bird's sternum.

Thanks for a lovely puzzle Angel, lovely clean clueing and despite mis-parsing the theme (and having no knowledge of the real one) solved everything with much satisfaction! I particularly liked 11a (nice), 12a (neat), 19a (likewise), 31a (cute), 3d (simple and effective), 6d (very neat) and 25d (neat)
