Neat! Took me a while to notice the theme (despite hints!). Faves include 1a, 5a, 23a (COTD), 4d, 5d (and 3d, my old job)

Being a Trekkie myself I was very pleased to come across this little puzzle. Great stuff, J! Would it be sacrilege to ask for a Star Wars theme next time?

Favourite clue was 6d - I feel like I need to watch Young Frankenstein again, now. I didn't notice the Going Trekking theme until after I'd completed the puzzle and it hit me more than an M.Night Shymalan film (still refuse to say movie). Thank you, John. BZ
