Ha, that was very jolly. I enjoyed that little romp. "Nasty" is, in fact, lovely, 4d's super-tight and 8a is, of course, outrageous! Great stuff.

Ha, I started writing some code a few days back to see if I could do the same sort of thing in the default, eight seven-letter words grid, and concluded it would be an absolute pain in the arse! But *this* is how you do it with panache, and the clue constraint being the cherry on top. Well done you!
