Hi Meles, finally got around to this grid - printed it off a while back. Must say it took me quite a while over 2 hours and 3 beers. Well done. It seems you have tweaked 13a which is probably wise - you were giving away too much there. I thought 3d was a brave one 17d I thought I got immediately and realised it wasn't that simple later on 20a is a bit inside really but I figured it out and learned a new word! I found the across clues very tough to get for a while - the only one I got on first

Wow that was a two beer struggle some great clues particularly liked 1a 14a 17a 25a 8d and 28d well done it was tough but worth the effort I think cheers

Thanks for that, Meles. Ended up needing a couple of sittings to crack this one - getting the two long ones, 1a and 9a, was the key to opening up the top half. Lots of fun clues, but I particularly liked 12a, 17a, 22a, 25a, 8d, 19d.

Thanks Meles for a worthy featured puzzle that I finally got around to solving. This was generally smooth sailing for me with my favourites being 13a, 17a, 25a, 3d, and 15d. Nice work
