Cryptic crossword No 975

That’s some puzzle, Panthera - thanks! Lots of fun and invention, and really quite tough. I surprised myself by solving the bulk of the left hand side relatively quickly and then totally failed to make headway on the right! Really enjoyed 11A, 17A, 22A, 25A, 3D and 17D in particular.

Thank Panthera, very enjoyable (I'm a fan of 'wordy' clues, so enjoyed some of the War & Peace here) - super throughout but special mentions for 15a (indicator "with" might raise an eyebrow in another context, but works perfectly here), 22a (superbly hidden), 25a (great construction especially "casually show up"), 23d (very cleverly done) & COTD 17d. Finally got round to this one, and glad I did - I enjoy your style, Panthera, though it’s extremely tricky in places! Much to enjoy - especially 15a, 17a, 22a, 25a, 17d, 20d. Also very much enjoyed reading your annotations (completely missed the theme though I’m a fan of their work).
