I’ll take any and all quibbles on the chin! Not my finest or toughest clueing (for the most part) but it just had to be done 😁 Mildly spoilery additional comments in Reply.

Fabulous, well done Henri ... I wasn't sure it would be possible! Ultimately defeated by GK in 13a (got from last part), 21d (but easy enough to guess with crossers) and 28d (guess and check). Favourites 12a, 16a, 19a, 27a, 29a, 4d, 13d, 18d, 19d & 25d. Lots of double definitions, had to be - all very well executed! Many thanks :-)

Haha, I think we've reached clueing bedrock - even a quiptic ONE would blow my mind! Bloody well done, and impressively turned around - despite the expected density of DDs (which you made the most of I must say) this worked really well and kept me chuckling throughout with a refreshing mix more adventurous offerings throughout. I know you said you had fun with the set but it was good fun to solve to, so good stuff! Particular faves were 1a, 5a, 12a, 13a, 19a, 27a (lol), 1d, 2d, 3d, 4d, 7d, 18d..

An experiment well worth the undertaking, Henri. Obviously there is very little you can do, surface-wise, at this level of terseness and, yes, there has to be a lot of dd and L&S. But it's good to show what can be done and, whilst one could nitpick, it seems churlish as this is a clever creation which will have taken more work than may be evident at face value. Favourites include 5a, 13a, 20a, 30a, 8d, 17d, 18d and 25d. Thanks. PM
