Cryptic crossword No 938

Very fun grid Bluejacket! Excellent gimmick with no clunky fill. Too many favorites but I'll single out 5d (laughed a good bit), 17a, and 20a.

Fabulous puzzle with a highly original approach to the clueing, bravo 👏 Some very clever clues that had me nodding and smiling when pennies dropped. Wonderful!
