Cryptic crossword No 934

Welcome to MyC twiSt. A very accomplished debut puzzle; somehow, I don't think it's your first. Very neat use of a wide range of devices, cunningly hidden definitions and some delightful cryptic ones in amongst them. Favourites include: 9a, 13a, 20a, 25a, 26a, 6d, 8d, 21d and 22d. Favourites include 5a (great use of a link word), 13a ("marches off" a favourite rarely-seen indication), 26a ("place of rest..." very nice), 3d (once I'd finally parsed it!), 8d & 12d (never heard of so needed all crossers, but clearly clued). Welcome to MyC, twiSt, that was a terrific debut! Lots of satisfying stuff, lovely surfaces and inventive wordplay. I particularly liked 5a (very smooth), 11a (great def), 20a (neat), 26a (nice), 7d (neat), 8d (nice construction) and 22d (cute). Keep em coming 😁
