Cryptic crossword No 790

Great grid Umpire! Particularly enjoyed 11 Across and 19 Down :)

Thanks for the lovely puzzle Umpire, great entertainment for a relaxing Saturday afternoon. I particularly liked 7a (neat), 10a (very nice construction), 11a (fun), 16a (lovely assembly), 21a (likewise), 25a (clean), 28a (neat), 5d (clean), 9d (nice), 13d (great surface composition), 17d (nho but satisfyingly gettable) and 24d (neat) - lovely stuff!

Mostly enjoyed this but had to reveal a few. Some took a while to parse but got there in the end.

That was an enjoyable romp, Umpire. I was beaten by a couple right at the very end but, otherwise, clearly clued and nicely put together. 8a, 10a, 16a, 28a, 3d, 13d, 14d and 19d were favourites. Annotations would be helpful, if you do them just to check how you are seeing things. Spoilers in Reply. Thanks. PM
