Cryptic crossword No 652

We wanted to produce something akin to The Times Monthly Club Special, with more obscure fill as a bit of a challenge. We hope you enjoy it.

Boy is there egg on your faces. We solved this in no time at all. These words I use on a daily basis. My IQ is off the charts. I'm writing this seven people including the writers of this crossword. We lord above all. Nice puzzle Potoroo! Luv ya!

Lovely stuff, Potoroo, really enjoyed this. There were a few words that were new to me, but all so well clued that I was able to solve pretty much everything without even needing to look them up (except for a couple of small details - spoilers in reply). Particular favourites were 20a, 23a (great word!), 30a (horrible word!), 7d, 14d (brilliant spoonerism), 16d, 25d

Sounds like I had to use Chambers/Check Button a bit more than others so far: lots of these words were unknown to me and, whilst I could guess at some, other times I had little idea if I was right til pressing Check. Most of the parsing worked for me and your Annotations made clear what didn't. Favourites include: 15a, 20a, 28a, 30a, 2d, 3d, 14d (COTD), 16d, 17d, 24d (lol). Please don't do this every week!!! 🤣🤣🤣.
