Well that was the most fun I’ve had doing a crossword in quite a while! A brilliant idea and well-executed too. It suited by sense of humour too… all my favourites were the ‘censored’ ones. Slightly spoilery continuation in the reply…

What a lovely idea, Conto, and very well executed. PDM about 40% of the way through which made the latter part even more enjoyable - but also led to one error covered in reply. Thanks Conto, very enjoyable once I figured out what was going on (which took an embarrassingly long time!). Like Jaspa, the mild nature of the censored content amused me. My favourites were 13a, 14a, 26a, 2d, 16d and 20d.
