Cryptic crossword No 408

Great work - top marks to 10a, 4d and 19a for the on-theme clues. Otherwise far too many very splendid clues to pick favourites. Thanks to Conto for pulling it all together. Slight spoiler in reply…

Well done to everyone involved, especially Conto for organising the grid. The standard of clueing is brilliant throughout which is reflected in my longgg list of favourites: 5a, 9a, 10a, 12a (!), 19a (lovely def), 24a, 27a, 1d (!), 3d, 6d, 14d, 16d, 22d, 23d... I could go on because I liked them all really.

Very enjoyable ... what? Cornucopia? Smörgåsbord? Salmagundi? Well done Conto for the grid fill and the co-ordination and all contributors for the cluing. Like Raider says, so many good ones, I could fill this space with plaudits. That said, having not yet looked at who did what, I'm going to highlight the ones that particularly struck me as I went through: 10a, 17a, 19a, 26a, 3d, 7d, 17d, 23d.

Excellent work everyone - and especially Conto for organising. Favourites included 25a, 23d and 7d, but as Raider says, the standard was very high throughout.

Big thank you to Platypus for putting this together, and great to see the finished article. My favourite clue was 21a. Also really liked 25a, 2d, 6d, 16d. Particularly good surface in 7d and 18d.

Thank you for such a wonderful puzzle - fabulous setting all around, but particular favourites were 9a, 10a, 19a, 21a, 25a, 26a, 3d, 6d, 7d, 14d, 17d, 18d, 22d - tons to like!
