I think this is the first of yours I've done- lots to like with fun surfaces and many of my favourite charade type clues. I especially liked 1a,18a,25a & 1d,4d,7d,21d. Thanks!

Enjoyed this a lot, ML. Can I say you are improving in leaps and bounds without that sounding patronising which it is not meant to be? Lots of succinct clues and your constructions work. Faves inc 11a, 18a, 29a, 4d, 8d, 15d and 18d. Thanks. PM

Many thanks ML! Really enjoyed this one. More like this would be appreciated!! And well themed as well

Really enjoyed this. Thank you. 8d had me stumped for ages. Very good.

Fun puzzle, MagpieLinguist. About the right level of difficulty for my liking, faves were 12a,18a, 23a, and 8d (though it defeated me).

Hi MagpieLinguist, I’m a bit late to this so not much to add to what’s already been said. Definitely agree that you’re a rising star! The clues that especially stood out for me were 11a, 25a, 3d (with PM’s qualification) and 8d, though others got ticks too. Thanks for sharing!

I am happy to join the chorus of approval for this . If I may misquote one of the 70's comedians (Ken Goodwin?) - You're too good for this place.
