Thanks BenDr for an entertaining crossword. I was familiar with the 'cultural' references apart from 14a,36a but it was clearly clued though I was distracted by the inclusion of 'dropped'. I guessed 35d,13d from the crossers but failed to parse it not being familiar with the 'joint'. I'm not sure that 20d works as intended? Favourite clues were 1a, 32a.
