Nice puzzle Serbosh with some fun surfaces and well done creating the patterns. I couldn't parse the first half of 17d (step over) or 16a (cleverly devious!) - favourites are 10a, 12a, 20a, 11d and 20d, thank you.

This was fun, thanks. I especially enjoyed the linked answers, they were a nice extra clue without giving anything away or making the grid too contrived.

Hi Serbosh, my first time tackling one of your puzzles and it was a lovely challenge with some cunning but fair devices (although I'm still not completely sure if 16a is indirect it was very gettable!). Favourites were 8a 11d and 12d. Thanks :)
