Cryptic crossword No 2,987

Thanks for this challenge. Lots of good clues and clever misdirections (many of which I fell for!). I particularly liked 15a, 26a, 2d, 3d and 6d. Could a few of the clues perhaps be made more concise or are you including a few longer ones by design?
