Brilliant, thanks to everyone involved! All clues are of course brilliant, and I've only just spotted the message... Faves 3d (of course), 14a, 23a, 29a is a good spot, 5d (because less is often more) of what I have done; but I could of course have picked any of them. 'Sloggers & Betters' - spoonerism?
