Cryptic crossword No 2,657

Very nice indeed Heron, thanks for the puzzle. I thought this particularly smooth, with neat constructions across the grid. Faves include 14a (fun and clean), 16a (very clean), 19a (smooth assembly), 25a (neat), 5d (nice) and 14d (cute). A satisfying level of difficulty for this solver too which is always appreciated

Great stuff, Heron - another really enjoyable solve. Like PostMark, I am impressed with how quickly you can produce these puzzles and maintain the high standard. My favourite clues were: 16a, 25a, 2d, 14d. A few thoughts in the reply (with spoilers).
