Welcome to mycrossword Aglet. I enjoyed this, particularly 6a, 13a, 16a, 21a and 5d (had to get that from the wordplay). Nice smooth surfaces. I'm looking forward to your next one. Slight quibble in the reply.

Welcome Aglet. A delightful puzzle, with 16a a particularly clever spot. I also really liked 21a, 3d, 4d, 6d, 7d, 12d, 14d and 18d. Your surfaces, as Cheeseman says, read very well - possibly 17d isn't up to the standard of the rest. They might be improved by being a bit more concise, but that's a very minor criticism. Minor spoilers in reply.

Hello Aglet. I enjoyed this a lot, top clue for me was 21a, clicked together in a satisfying way. 10a and 19a were also among my faves, as well as 3d, 5d and 7d

A very nice debut, well done. It felt perhaps a tad straightforward at times but that's a minor issue, and way better than being too hard. I look forward to your future puzzles 👍🏻
