Thanks Henri, considering I've spent the previous 30 years working with MS software it took to long to twig the theme. Much to enjoy and get frustrated by in equal amounts. Good job sir.

Quite the workout! I noticed the theme about halfway through and it proved very helpful. Top fave is 1a - big grin when the final piece clicked into place. Others I loved include 10a, 11a & 26a, 14d, 17d, 20d, 23d & 24d

Thanks Henri. For once I saw the theme (once I realised that 15/21 was not Marco Polo!) and that helped with a number of solutions. Favourites included 27a, 8d, 19d, 23d, and 25d. Questions in reply.

Super stuff Henri, thanks. About 85% in, I saw (via peeking at comments 🤫) that there was a theme. That knowledge helped me considerably to finish the puzzle, not least because I couldn’t work out 15a 21a. Favourites: 5a, 12a (equal COTD), 26a, 16d (equal COTD), 23d and 25d.

Nice job, Henri. There seems little POINT in being coy about the presence of a them as every commenter has mentioned it so far. I played with MARCO POLO for 15a/21a, wondering if there was an EXPLORER theme, before the true culprit came into sight. Faves inc 5a, 11a, 26a, 27a, 29a, 3d, 8d, 20d and 25d. Thanks. PM

Very unusually, I clocked the theme almost immediately (1a and 5a). Typically smart and loads to like, inc. 1a, 5a, 12a, 26a, 20d and 25d. Ta lots.

Thanks, Henri. I enjoyed thinking about possible backstories to creating your 1a clue. Some other favs: 10a, 11a, 2d, 3d (very satisfying), 17d (yeah, why not); 8d (felt proud); 25d💎; 4d is cool but tricked me (oddly; "B"); 16d (learned a new 3-letter word); 24d (stumped by the apostrophe). All in all, this was very fun -- thanks again. (And btw, our little video has over 200 views!🏆😆)

Fun stuff Henri, thanks for the puzzle. I love when a theme helps getting the last few seemingly intractable clues, well set! I particularly enjoyed 1a (nice), 13a (likewise), 15a/21a (satisfyingly aided by the theme), 20a (neat), 27a (likewise), 9d (cute surface), 23d (neat) and 25d (simple, smooth and effective)

Great stuff, thanks Henri ... a companion piece to your recent Inquisitor (for which, congratulations!), perhaps? Faves include 1a, 5a, 26a, 6d, 16d & 25d. Thanks again!

Congratulations! I saw you as the headline at fifteensquared today -- very cool. I didn't read much because I wanted to avoid spoilers; as you've said, one day barred thematics will make sense to me. Way to go, Henri.
