Cryptic crossword No 2,349

Thanks ALP, this made for a very enjoyable Cryptic Sunday, with plenty of laughs and groans. I missed the bottom right corner on the stream so came to finish it now. Favourites include every reference to sex, licentious behaviour (although personally I favour Rubenesque nurses) and drugs. Gold goes to the gossamer smooth 25d. SPOILERS...

Thanks ALP for an enjoyable romp. I revealed 1a, 23a, & 8d but I managed all else with 6a, 20a, 28a, 1d (COTD #1), 2d, and 15d (COTD #2) being my top picks. More in reply.

Delightful Alp. I am not going to pretend I am on your wavelength all the time, but I know you'll take me places others won't, the ride will be a hoot and parsing will occasionally be as entertaining a challenge as solving. This didn't disappoint. Faves from what I could do were 1a, 6a, 13a, 23a, 26a, 27a, 1d, 2d, 7d, 9d, 17d, 19a, 22a (lol, takes me back to Latin lessons at school). Spoilers ...

Thanks for the puzzle ALP, I solved a while ago so apologies for not registering my appreciation for the entertainment sooner - lots to love here, particularly 1a (wonderfully done), 12a (lol), 13a (nice), 16a (very good), 19a (very neat), 27a (neat), 29a (neat), 1d (cute), 2d (very neat), 7d (fun surface), 9d (likewise), 18d (very neat) and 25d (COTD). Lovely surfaces across the board and tons of invention on display, bravo!
