Cryptic crossword No 2,237

Good crossword, tough in places. I didn't get 7d, put in sleigh instead. 4a, 7a and 8a were my favourites.

Phew, I did not find this one easy, OzP. Sometimes unusual synonyms or constructions, sometimes being slightly misled by things I interpret slightly differently from you. Faves inc 7a, 15a, 23a (COTD), 2d, 7d, 18d and 20d. Thanks. PM

Thanks Ozpiper for a good set of clues. My top picks were 7a (COTD), 15a (liked 'waterfall'), 2d, 12d, 16d, and 17d. I could not make sense of 9a, my one reveal. More to follow.

Nice puzzle, thanks OzP. Found it pretty tough for many of the reasons that PM has noted. Beaten by 7d. Favourites: 7a (COTD), 23a, 1d, 5d and 16d.
