Cryptic crossword No 2,221

Didn’t know about the def for 29a. Do now. Solid puzzle. Liked the trick with ‘alien conspiracy’ and the acrostic. My tops would be the longer entries like 12d, 7d, and 4d. Enjoyed. Thanks.

I enjoyed watching and participating in the solve on Cryptic Sunday, Flush. It's nice to see you back. Plenty to like inc 10a for the def, 11a for the cryptic idea, 19a which works very neatly, 2d which made me smile, 5d for an even bigger smile and 20d which is neatly to assembled to deliver a fun surface. A fun crossword with some very well written clues. FOI 9a, LOI 13a. My favouries were 17a, 13a, 11a, 7d, 16d and 22d. 21a was new to me, I've only seen it without the E.
