Cryptic crossword No 2,141

Haha, it may amuse you to know that I confidently entered 22 letters without looking at a single clue, but realised I was wrong as soon as I solved the first clue 🙃 another classic Gennaro construction, lots of great clues such as 20a (helped by the fact that I was sipping a drink matching your surface!), 21a (I recently clued the word in an almost identical way so will now find another treatment) and 30a (cos I live here 😆). More on my initial misunderstanding in the reply ->

Lovely stuff as usual Gennaro, worked out the alternate reality entry requirement pretty much as soon as I’d done 18a, and that helped a lot with the rest of the solve. Lots of great clues, my favourites were 18a itself, along with 11a, 30a, 10d, 15d and 24d.

Lovely stuff Gennaro, I'm becoming quite a fan of your output. Enjoyed 18a, 17d, 10d, and the defs for 22d, 4d. A few NHOs but was able to get with WP and minor guesswork

What a beauty Gennaro. I got the theme early which helped finish it off but still had to reveal 26d which was unknown to me. Lovely stuff.

Nice one! Some tricky clueing (18a!), a few that I failed to parse, and there were a few words I had to Google, despite getting them from wordplay, so it was educational as well!

How on earth do you do it, Gennaro? Your Ninas are just immaculate. Lots of fun, as always. I particuarly liked 18a, 4d, 19d and 24d. 8a made me want to cry but the WP was very kind, to be fair. Great job. Ta lots.

I was careful not to assue the Nina but with 18a going in first, it pretty soon became apparent & helpful as usual. Faves include 12a, 18a, 30a, 4d, 5d, 22d & 24d. Thanks again!
