Yep, twas lovely, you swine! I thought the bottom was “gentler” than the top, but only just. (Many) favourites included 10a, 11a, 13a/14d, 3d, 5d, 17a (very you, I thought!), 16d, 23a and 22d

Splendid idea, superbly crafted. Lots of delightful clues as always but the grid is the star, once again. Loads of fave clues inc 8a, 9a, 20a, 23a, 28a, 2d, 16d and 19d. Thanks. PM

Hahaha, a penny dropped about half way through and it made the second half a lot easier to complete! Classic Fezzery. Liked 10a, 23a (for the surface!), 3d (ditto), 15d and 25d. But the overall grid shines too! Thanks

Great, Fez. I like them all, including (in no particular order?) 10a, 9a, 8a, 7d, 6d, 5d, 4d, 3d, 2d, 1d

Thank you so much for this: bravo on the super-clever non-obvious grid, giving a lovely moment of revelation. (I thought 15d a beautiful clue.)

Lovely stuff Fez, with the penny dropping near the end to help me home. I thought 20a, 16d, 18d and 25d were particularly neat (such a shame it's not reeeeally a port!) but lots of others to enjoy. The gridfill is superb, of course.

Super stuff Fez. I won't degrade some clues by naming others as favourites. They were all top grade and the nina just gorgeously brilliant. But I would also say for newbies like me, so many clues offered an object lesson in disguising definitions. No need to look further than the last 3 down clues for absolute belters. Fabulous.

Very nice indeed Fez, thanks for a very entertaining puzzle. Silky smooth surfaces and plenty of admirably succinct and inventive constructions, favourites being 9a (cute), 20a (very neat), 21a (neat), 23a (nice), 3d (lovely), 12d (smooth), 14d (delightful), 16d (fun construction) and 24d (similarly) - I'm a bit of a rusty solver so did struggle with a few of the longer solutions but a pleasant and enjoyable challenge all round, bravo!
