Clever. So clever that I had to look at the annotated solutions to see what the theme was. (Though two of the theme words aren't flyers, if we're being picky...). Particularly towards the end, this offered some real "Aha!" moments as the pennies dropped, favourites being 19a, 5d and 19d. I couldn't parse 22d but the explanation shows that it's a perfectly fair and sound clue. For my money, one of the best puzzles that's appeared on here recently.

Very good! Lots of really strong clues here. I think 14d is my favourite - very neat. Also enjoyed 7a, 10a, 19a, 24a, 18d, 19d among others. Didn't spot the theme at all but it's nicely done. I think 22d is a bit of a stretch, but acceptable.

Really great stuff. Love the theme (you missed 13 in your annotations) and there's lots of lovely surfaces. I agree with Widdersbel about 22d being a bit of a stretch but I've got plenty of ticks which include 11a, 19a, 5d, 6d, 14d, 16d and 18d. Thanks Phantom.
