Thanks Alf, lots of fun and some very clever clues with devious misdirection here and there! Getting a couple of the long ones early certainly helped me. Liked 8d 12a 4d, 20d, 27a and 28a. Minor comment in reply ->

Chewier in the SE until I tumbled to the wit of 20d and 27a. Favourites were 16a, 23a, 3d, 5d. Thanks Alf.

Thanks Alf - an enjoyable puzzle all round. Only failed on 21d which was a nho for me, with the SE definitely taking longer to come together in general. Highlights for me were 1a, 10a, 16a, 19a, 25a, 7d and 8d. One minor comment in reply

Oh, forgot to enable annotated solutions - they're on now. Thanks for any and all feedback and notes on favourite clues!

This was an absolute hoot and pretty friendly. Lots of fun, with novel ideas. 1a, 6a, 17a, 2d, 3d, 7d, 15d, 17d and 20d all got ticks. 9a’s a sharp construction but the “cutting edge” made (for me) a slightly odd surface. And 27a’s plural is a tad mean. But these are petty and essentially non-existent gripes. Very good indeed. Ta lots.

Thanks Alf, good fun with faves 1a, 16a, 25a, 28a, 5d, 7d & 8d 12a. Spoilers ...

Late to this, Alf. Not done a lot of solving on here in the last few days. A typically enjoyable puzzle from you with, as Henri says, some nice misdirection. 3d fell early - I don't know too many Oasis titles but that is one even I have heard of. The crossers were helpful in opening up the rest of the puzzle. I share a couple of Fez's quibbles - especially the possessives - but nothing too appalling! Faves inc 16a, 19a, 2d, 5d and, of course, 20d. Thanks. PM
