Well clued though I found it tough in parts. The scavenger at 16d, 12d was nee to me, as were the 22f sweets. Definitely a good test.

Thanks! That was a fairly breezy but very entertaining romp with some witty and clever clues including 10a, 11a, 23a (great spot!), 28a, 2d, 8d and 25d. A minor spoilery comment in the Reply ->

Nice and light with some fun ideas and a neatly incorporated pangram, Cigogne. And some nice surfaces along the way. Clues I enjoyed inc 11a, 15a, 23a, 1d, 3d (chestnut but nicely done here), 17d and 25d (ho ho). Thanks. PM

Thanks Cigogne, good stuff - mostly enjoyably gentle with, for me, one notable exception. Faves include 6a, 18a, 23a, 2d, 4d, 8d & 25d. Spoilers ...

Very good Cigogne thanks. This all went in pretty smoothly until I had to reveal 20a. Favourites: 6a, 10a (much more elegant than another clue of this type that I can think of 😏), 18a, 23a (what Henri said), 3d and 17d. Spoilers …

Very enjoyable, thanks Cigogne! I didn't find it as breezy as others seem to have, but I'd say it's pretty much optimum difficulty for this solver! I didn't get 20a, NHO. Favourites were 6a, 10a, 18a, 1d, 5d, 8d, 17d, 22d, 24d and 25d

Thanks Cigogne for a great set of clues. My favourites were 10a, 23a, 26a, 2d, 3d, and 21d. I revealed 20a and 28a and couldn't parse 17d and 22d without your notes.

Thanks Cigogne. Most enjoyable and a decent if at times challenging level for me. But there were plenty of straightforward clues to get a good foothold early with the chewier bits mostly allowing themselves to be revealed in a most satisfying manner. I very much enjoyed 6a, 10a, 11,a 23a, 3d, 17d, 21d, & 25d. Spoilers ...
