Cryptic crossword No 1,938

Welcome to MyC Shorty! Pretty impressive debut, with lots to like and some clever, witty cluing. I particularly enjoyed 15a, 20a, 22a, 2d, 5d, 9d among others. I have queries about some others (eg 10a, 12a, 24d) but don’t feel able to offer feedback in the absence of annotated solutions switched on (in setting tools). But welcome again and hope to see more from you.

Very late to this, Shorty, but at least I managed to get around to it before the week was up! Welcome to MyC; as others have said, you've produced a super debut and I like many of your constructions. Annotations would certainly be helpful as I am not 100% certain of some parsing. 19a has me a little confused. My bigger ticks went to 11a, 15a, 23a, 1d, 5d, 9d and 17d (COTD). I wouldn't have considered 18d to be 'heavy' but Wiki backs you up. Thanks. PM
