Thanks Fudgeller & welcome - a super debut (though pretty sure this is far from your first crossword!) Faves include 10a, 13a, 21a, 6d, 7d, 8d, 14d & 20d. Spoilers ...

Thanks and welcome to MyC Fudgeller. An impressive debut, with much to like. I particularly appreciated 10a, 13a, 15a, 2d, 5d, 16d, 23d among others. SE quadrant I found tougher than the rest, but that might just be me. Nothing to add to Fez’s comments, so thanks again and more please!

Welcome to MyC, Fudgeller, and thanks for a most enjoyable puzzle. A good level of difficulty for me on the whole, although I too found the SE pretty tricky. Nothing really to add to Fez’s extensive comments. I have no idea what the theme is! Favourites: 1a, 10a, 15a, 21a, 3d, 14d and 16d.

That was a great time, thanks - a properly high-quality debut! For what it's worth, 24a absolutely landed with me, 'cause I tend to be, shall we say, relaxed when it comes to rule-stretching in the aid of a fun idea (else I'd be a dirty hypocrite, tbh!) and so it made my top three easily alongside my LOI 13a (tricksy!) and 6d (clever!). So yeah, welcome to MyC!

Adding my voice to the chorus of welcome and praise, a lovely puzzle even if the theme eluded me (happens a lot, to be fair 😆). My podium: 15a, 3d and 6d (very clever!)
