Zippy, quick and pleasurable! I like your pursuit of fresh indicators a lot. 35A was my top favourite for its multiple misdirect in a neatly packaged surface, but I liked a lot.

I think Mallimack has hit the nail on the head, juff. A very interesting set of unusual indicators throughout. Which created both the charm and the occasional difficulty of the puzzle. I was undone by some GK/US (I presume) specific stuff but that's to be expected. 10a, 14a, 24a, 1d, 3d, 16d, 27d, 31d my faves. Thanks. PM

Thanks Juff, good fun and a nice different grid (with plenty of crossers helping make this quicker than it might've been!) Faves 11a, 33a, 38a (despite rather stretchy indicator!), 5d (lovely construction to piece together a nho), & the 18d/19d combo. Spoilers ...
