Cryptic crossword No 1,810

Nice and smooth for a Sunday afternoon. Lots to like, in particular 6a, 9a (which I didn't know I knew until I knew it), 13a, 23a, 24a, 5d, 7d, 20d -- and of course 8d.

Thanks Amoeba. This was enjoyably gentle until I got to the SE corner where I began scratching my head. I eventually revealed 15d which I should have seen -- nice clue regardless. My favs were 9a, 23a, 24a, 2d, 8d (!), and 19d.
