Firstly this is designed to be a little lighter than previous cluing - more smutty than filthy. Secondly apologies for the grid which breaks (quite badly) a couple of rules.  Lastly the special instructions are quite spoilery and I don't think they're necessary but they are in two stages in the SPOILER replies if you need them.

Thanks Bottom, was pleased to 'get' this without need for further instructions ('research' for my recent #1773 helped!) Liked 12a, 15a/19a, 27a, 4d, 7d, 24d, 26d & 32d/36d (shame 34d interrupts slightly). Spoilers ...

I struggled on a couple of attempts to get into this, Bottom. Ended up going through your annotations. All cunningly done with a cleverly filled grid. Thanks. PM

Good smutty fun, though a few defeated me. I thought 7d, 16d and 24d were particularly good. A couple of spoilers in reply

Surprised this isn't getting more love, I thoroughly enjoyed the gimmick and while not quite as ribald as your usual fare, a jolly fun puzzle all round! I thought the linked surfaces were particularly fun. Favourite clues included 12a, 19a (how could I not enjoy this one!), 38a, 4d, 7d, 26d and 28d
