Friendly, entertaining and elegant: a light but super-smart touch from the off. Wit too. I could merrily have ticked pretty much every clue but 22a made me laugh (very Dada), 4d (brilliant) and 24d are both hilarious, 10a is a tremendous spot and 14a’s fun. 19d and 23d are hugely pleasing solves to boot. I could go on but I’m already starting to gush. Hats off.

Fabulous puzzle, not too tricky for the most part but with clever and witty surfaces throughout. Loved 10a (great spot), 12a, 22a (ha!), 30a (lovely misleading word in there), 4d, 6d and 24d. Nice one!
