Good puzzle! 1A made me laugh. Learnt a new bone and a new 17th century game, what more could anyone ask for?

Some smooth surfaces in there Longyfan. I particularly liked 11a (I love a good pun), and 15a. I'm not totally convinced by 26a but it's an interesting thought in the annotations. :)
