A stern enough challenge for me, Ozpiper, and some stretchy synonyms, but no real complaints when I worked them out. Hadn't known that form of the divinity on 11a. Ingenious stuff throughout - thanks!

An interesting grid, Ozp. Those blocks surrounding the centre are very densely packed - I couldn't solve the nho 16d but the across answers did it for me! 15a, 34a, 3d, 4d, 9d, 26d and 33d were favourites, mainly for their very clean cluing. Thanks. PM

Thanks OzP. I found this pretty tricky but I quite liked the densely packed central part of the grid as it created loads of crossers! I agree with Leucine about some stretchiness but good fun overall. Favourites: 15a, 19a, 25a, 36a, 6d, 9d, 12d and 23d.

Thanks for the puzzle Ozp, a curious grid making for a fun solving experience, and lots of lovely stuff, particularly 25a (neat), 27a (likewise), 34a (you've managed to put me onto the wrong scent artfully with the length and implication of some of the words in the clue!), 2d (neat), 3d (simple and effective), 9d (neat), and 33d (very neat) - nice one :)
