Super stuff, Conto. I really like the way you used the theme to create some fun surfaces. Favourites included 1A, 11A, 20A, 24A, 26A, 27A, 6D, 17D and 23D.

Nice job, Conto. All fell nicely into place and the them became apparent a few clues in so I was able to enjoy each example as they occurred. Beaten by one - 20a, which is super. One, I parsed differently - I think it works - details in Reply. Favourites include 1a, 14a, 20a (!), 24a, 3d, 6d, 13d, 21d, 24d and 25d. Thanks. PM

Thanks for the puzzle Conto, I had a lot of fun with the theme, nicely constructed. A few bested me (I'm looking at 28a and 5d - though for the latter I did have a similar parsing to PM) and I liked a lot: 1a (fun surface, neat), 11a (fun and neat), 14a (nice fodder), 16a (neat), 19a (cool mechanism), 20a (cunning and neat), 24a (very nice), 27a (cute), 1d (very clean and smooth), 3d (very neat), 5d (cunning), 6d (neat), 13d (fun), 18d (fun WP) and 24d (inventive) - lovely stuff!

I really enjoyed this, thanks Conto. A fun but unobtrusive theme and lots of cracking elements. 1a, 20a, and 6d were my picks.
