Cryptic crossword No 1,079

Hi Liari, clean as always - though a bit more verbose than your usual (not saying that that's a bad thing!). In particular liked 8D, 5D, 14A the clean 22D and being duped by the def on 10A. Just one nit in comments...

Thanks for the puzzle Liari, some lovely stuff in here! I particularly liked 1a (smooth and neat), 10a (clean), 14a (fun), 16a (fun), 17a (very neat), 26a (nice def), 4d (smooth), 6d (neat), 12d (clean), 18d (neat), 22d (neat) and 25d (simple but effective). Good clean fun :)
