Thanks Bees, top stuff. Sorry I didn't get round to commenting on your full debut (after contribution to Platypus #1000) which was also excellent. You've crafted some fabulous surfaces here, a long list of big ticks with favourites including 1a, 4a, 10a, 11a, 16a, 19a, 24a, 28a, 1d, 5d, 7d, 15d & 17d. Thanks again!

Super stuff, Bees. Yours is the second in a row I've managed to complete in strict numerical order - which speaks to the quality of the clueing. Everything was fair and clear and, whilst it took some thought on occasions to identify the synonym with which you were working, once that landed, the solution became clear. Your surfaces are a delight. Favourites include 4a, 14a, 19a, 24a (brilliant), 28a (ditto), 2d, 5d, 7d, 9d, 15d, 19d and 21d. Spoiler in reply. Thanks. PM

Another lovely puzzle, Bees, thanks. I fully agree with PM and Fez about the quality of the clueing. Very hard to narrow down my list of favourites: 4A, 10A, 13A, 16A (although obviously can’t subscribe to the sentiment!), 24A, 29A (well spotted!), 1D, 5D, 7D and 19D. Spoilers...

Thank you, Bees. Lots to like here as a fellow MyC newbie. A top five for me are 16a, 19a, 28a, 5d and 7d but enjoyed it all round. Look forward to seeing more, cheers.

Really enjoyed this, thanks Bees. I'd echo the comments below, very clean clues and great surfaces all round. Particular favourites were 10a and 11a for surface imagery, 19a (great spot), 29a (Darren Bent!), 5d, 6d and 25d (beautiful 🙂).

Great stuff Bees. I've not come across you before, but very impressive indeed, although it took me a while to attune to your style. But I enjoyed the flawless surfaces and humour. Faves were 1d (lol), 11a, 16a (best PDM), 20a, 23a, 24a, 5d, 8d, 17d, 22d (v clever but v tough), 24d (loud LOL). Spoilers...

Late to the party but can only echo the glowing sentiment of all who've come before me - a delightful puzzle full of cracking surfaces, tasty PDs and satisfyingly solvable. Could possibly pick 'em all but I'll try to be selective: 4a (fun assembly), 10a (neat), 16a (superbly done, made me laugh), 19a (very clean), 23a (very neat), 24a (neat), 28a (neat), 29a (fun), 1d (fun), 3d (I liked the mechanism), 5d (fun), 17d (clean), 22d (neat) and 24d (fun) - great stuff all round Bees, thanks!
