Pardon the 11x11 grid; this puzzle started as a Guardian Quick Cryptic before finding its proper form. Thank you.

Love this. So much Spooner fun. My favorites were 1a, 18a, 1d, 2d. 6d got me & I had to get from crossers. Well done!!

Thanks tpg. Spoonerisms are not my favorite device but I really enjoyed 1a and 1d. I also liked 8a and 3d. Nice puzzle.

I do like a good Spoonerism and 1a, 1d and 2d, 7a were very good. I wondered if 17a was a candidate too, something along the lines of 'Hobo anger' = 'Bum rage'? 'Computer manufacture succeeded 'as Spooner would say. :-) (I did a cryptic one with a Spooner theme #3346 but only managed to fit in seven.) Thanks for the amusement tpgrammar!

Unlike Gennaro I do rather like Spoonerisms, being prone to accidentally coming out with them in real life! And I admire how you’ve take the hull by the bourns here: special kudos for the 1s, but also impressed by 7a, 18a, 6d, 13d and 14d in particular. Beaten by 15d but no complaints at all. Never quite know what’s coming next with tpg! Cheers.
