Thanks TPG. I still had to reveal the NW and I've already done this one before! But it is Christmas morning....a beacon of affirmation in a darkening world. 5a, 9a, 13a and 10d were good fun. An indicator of when US English is being used would also add clarification.

Nice one TP! favourites were 16a, 1d and 5d (I got it, but utterly failed to parse it, nonetheless, I hugely enjoyed your twisty thinking when I read the annotations. Merry Christmas!
