Mini crossword No 313

Great fun, thank you. My favorite, which I needed help with, was 6a. I also enjoyed not getting the confetti before remembering the puzzle told me how to spell a certain word. 1a, 2d, and 3d were my other favs. Thanks again.

Fabulous, the hint in 1a was very useful by the end. Interestingly I had a similar delayed-confetti experience to tpgrammar, showing a slight lapse of attention 😆

Hi Bluejacket. I'd been crosswording for a while and was going to stop but this one lured me in! All good clues but my favourite was 6a, narrowly beating out 4d which has an incredibly smooth surface

Oh, well done you - did you dig this up manually, or did you write code like I did? Depending on how fussy you are about the fill, it turns out there can actually be a few thousand possibilities, but this is definitely one of the better ones, by which I mean I checked after solving and, sure enough, it's on my shortlist... if you can call 252 entries a "short" list! Funnily enough I also had to clue 5a, but I think I prefer your version - my overall favourite, though, was 1a for being so meta.
