Double Definition &lit?
I had a thought for a clue of a type I've never seen. The clue would be:
Pronounce, expecting submission (7)
This has two ways of reading it:
- Pronounce, as in declaring a rule, expecting submission, as in yielding. This would be to dictate, as in what a dictator does.
- Pronounce, as in speak, expecting submission, as in a written document. This would be to dictate, as in what a manager might have done to their secretary.
Both of these readings give DICTATE as the definition, but in two different ways.
What do people think of this - is this an acceptable and fair type of clue? It's a bit like an &lit but both readings are definitions. I don't think I've ever seen this in practice, but it might just be really hard to find.

Where film will end up, one way or another (8) Sounds similar to this ⬆️ clue of mine for DARKROOM, where "one way or another" hints at the two readings (1. darkroom where a piece of film is developed, 2. dark room where a particular film is screened). I don't think "&lit" is the best term here as there's no wordplay. Maybe "Definition with two readings"?
