Thanks Longyfan and congrats on being our third featured setter. The top half went on quite smoothly but I got a bit held up in the south west - I finally revealed 14d and still needed the blog to parse it!. I really enjoyed the creative definitions like 6a, 13a, 5d and most of all 7d. Overall favs were 26a, 8d and 1a albeit for tax purposes I'd recommend defining it as a cake!

What a fun challenge! Some of those definitions were amusingly left field. 11a (FOI) and 17d were two that clicked together very satisfyingly from very neat surfaces. Other faves (hard to choose just a few): 1a,9a,13a,27a and 1d,3d,7d. Many thanks and congrats, a worthy "featured".

Thank you for an enjoyably creative puzzle. Extra smiles produced by 13a, 16a (might be stealing that indicator!), 28a (my fav), 7d, 14d, 25d (yep, nice!). Also, congrats on executing 29a, a word that drove me nuts when I had to clue it not too long ago. Thanks again!
